Ask a Home Improvement Company: Q&A with Jeff Vargo, DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen at The Woodlands

0

Jeff Vargo, co-owner and general manager of DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen at The Woodlands, said many homeowners are looking for ways to improve the functionality and design of their homes. DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen has been renovating kitchens and bathrooms nationwide since 1975.

Is there a high demand for renovation at the moment?

Yes absolutely. There’s definitely increased demand with the things that led up to the pandemic, where people were spending more time at home and being able to save more money with less spending on travel and things they usually do. Now they are ready to reinvest that money in their home, wanting to improve some of their spaces, certainly in their kitchens and bathrooms.

What are some things people should know about the process when undertaking a home renovation?

We strongly encourage people to really think about their needs for the project. Granted, you have the utilitarian aspects, but then you have the look and feel aspects. Become familiar with some of the options available in the market. And then after researching what that is, there are resources like the National Kitchen and Bath Association that have some sort of general budget ranges for projects. We always tell clients that there are very good ranges from project to project depending on the size of the house or the finishes one wants to put in their projects. [They can consider] what they think their budget will be initially and then work within that budget with their design partner and build on the model.
