Chores Americans Hate Doing During Spring Cleaning

SPOKANE, Wash. – It’s time to clear out those closets and spruce up your home again for spring cleaning season.

This is the most awful but also the most satisfying time of spring. A recent survey looked at the chores Americans hate the most during spring cleaning, and the most hated tasks aren’t too surprising.

The most hated chore is disinfect and clean bathrooms. I think this is something we can all agree on: dealing with dirt in one of the grosser areas of your home is something no one wants to do, but someone has to.

The second most hated chore is wash the dishes. Even though it’s a daily task, the boredom and repetitiveness of doing the dishes is enough to drive anyone crazy, especially when they keep piling up.

And America’s third most hated chore is to do the laundry. The washing and drying part is the easiest part of the process, but folding/hanging up clothes after a big load is quite tedious.

But one thing all of these chores have in common is that once you finish them, it’s over and you won’t have to worry about them for a while. It’s best not to dread or postpone chores this spring cleaning season, but if you do, just know that you’re not alone.
