Clarion Woman Accused of Robbing Homes, Stealing Rooster Decorations, Stamps and Other Items ::


CLARION, PA (EYT) – A local woman is facing burglary and related charges after she allegedly entered two residences in Clarion Borough without the owners’ permission.

According to court documents, the Clarion Borough Police Department has filed the following criminal charges against a 31-year-old man Tunnell Hinderliter from Clarion:

– Burglary – Overnight Lodging, No Person Present, Felony 1 (Two Counts)
– Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3 (two counts)

– Theft by unlawful taking of movable property, offense 2 (two counts)
– Receipt of stolen property, offense 2

The charges were filed in the office of Magistrate District Judge Duane L. Quinn on Wednesday, March 9, following incidents that occurred between 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 2 and 1:00 a.m. Thursday, March 3.

According to a criminal complaint, Hinderliter entered two residences during the time period described above and removed a cell phone, a rooster decoration, Nike shoes, makeup, a projector and other items.

The complaint states that at approximately 12:55 p.m. on March 8, a Clarion Borough police officer received a Clarion County 9-1-1 dispatch to contact Pennsylvania State Police regarding a wellness check of ‘a woman. The officer looked for the woman and saw her walking south on 5th Avenue South. When the officer stopped by the woman and asked her name, she replied Tunnell Hinderliter. The agent knew in advance that there was a warrant against her.

She was taken into custody and searched.

During Hinderliter’s search, she was found to be in possession of the allegedly stolen makeup and other items, according to the complaint.

One of the victims was contacted and she came to the Clarion Borough Police Department and confirmed that the makeup that was in Hinderliter’s possession was hers, the complaint notes.

The total value of the items stolen is $295.00.

Hinderliter was arraigned at 11:08 a.m. on March 9 before Judge Quinn.

Unable to post $5,000.00 monetary bond, she was incarcerated in the Clarion County Jail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 22 at 8:45 a.m.
