Virginia retailer moves into new home

Virginia Furniture Market moved into its new headquarters and distribution center in May.

ROCKY MOUNT, Va. – Virginia Furniture Market has completed the 120,000 square foot headquarters and distribution center here.

The eight-store retailer, with stores in southwest and central Virginia, has invested more than $11 million in the expansion, located in the Virginia Market Place Commercial Center at US 220 and Wirtz Road. It was completed in the spring and VFM officials moved in in May.

“This new facility will support our efforts to provide customers with an exceptional experience when shopping with Virginia Furniture Market,” said owner Joel Shepherd, “not only in our stores, but through pickup, delivery and all means by which we serve our customers.”

This new facility is the regional distribution center for Virginia Furniture Market, supporting its growing business as VFM continues to expand into Southwest and Central Virginia and beyond. In addition, this new facility houses VFM’s corporate headquarters.
